  3. I'll try to ask from Alcatel Philippines about USB-OTG on this phone. Also, after some research most said that there is an USB-OTG, but it is not implemented on the Alcatel 997D and only USB tethering is supported, but during the time I published this post some websites said it support "USB-OTG"

  4. It is not clear whether USB-OTG lacks only in the software (as for Nexus 7, where a kernel patch can add it) or is missing in the hardware, too (Alcatel people did not reply to this question).
Any news about the possibility of using an external bluetooth keyboard?

  6. Anyone successfully using USB OTG on this phone? I ordered two cables, the first one arrived, and it does not work for me. Two persons from Alcatel tell that it is not implemented:

  7. OK, it is very interesting for me, especially direct connection between two smartphones.
I need an USB hub for another reason, too, then I will try to use it with the smartphone, too; if you want, I can post results of my tests. Now I have to wait for delivery of the needed stuff :-)
In the meantime, thank you for your replies.

  8. I don't know if (USB hub) it will work, but I found something that will work using USB-OTG (Photo below) like gamepads and accessing another smartphone. Btw, keyboard and mouse works well too.

  9. Thank you very much.
I just have an USB keyboard wandering at home, it could finally become more useful :)
Sorry if it is a dumb question, I am a newbie about smartphones... has anyone tried to use USB-OTG on this phone with an USB hub? I would like to connect it to a keyboard, an USB key, maybe a mouse, and, why not, MHL-HDMI-FullHD TV!

    Thank you!

  12. Sir, Mr. Ramirez is just asking if the phone can support USB-OTG. "Po" is added to Tagalog/Filipino sentences in order to show respect :)
