Lenovo Mobile opens two new mobile concept stores in Metro Manila

In its bid to become the leader in the PC Plus era, Lenovo marches ahead by boosting its smartphone retail presence in the Philippines. Since opening its first mobile concept store in 2013 in Davao, Lenovo now has a total of 18 concept stores in the country, found across Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

The newest Lenovo mobile concept stores, both owned and operated by Wellcom Telecom, are located at the 2F of Robinson’s Place, Antipolo City and at the 2F of Robinson’s Place, Las Pinas City. This makes a total of 8 Lenovo mobile concept stores in Metro Manila alone. The new LMES will carry various Lenovo smartphone products such as the LTE capable Vibe Z2 Pro, A606 and S856 as well as tablet devices such as the A8-50 tablet and mobile accessories.

A recent study done by On Device Research found that the Philippines has the lowest smartphone penetration in Southeast Asia but is growing faster than Indonesia and Vietnam combined. This is expected to more than triple to 50 percent in 2015.

“Lenovo sees that there is profitable growth in the PC Plus market which includes tablets and smartphones which is why we our continuously opening our Lenovo Mobile Exclusive Stores in and out of Metro Manila to reach more Filipino consumers,” said Michael Ngan, Country General Manager, Lenovo Philippines.

Lenovo, known for its commitment to innovation, is the first to offer dual-core and quad-core processors in smartphones. Lenovo is also the first company in the world to market a smartphone based on the latest Intel chipset with its Lenovo K900.
