Globe Telecom restores mobile coverage in Borongan, Eastern Samar
Globe Telecom restored mobile coverage in Borongan, Eastern Samar at round 3:30 pm Tuesday and immediately triggered mobile traffic. This follows intensified efforts of the telecommunications provider’s network operations team to fire up a base station controller located in Gigoso in Giporlos, Eastern Samar.
More sites are expected to become operational with the restoration of the base controller in Gigoso, Globe Telecom said. Globe said it is now approaching completion of its restoration efforts in Visayas, which bore the brunt of Typhoon Ruby.
