Following PLDT’s HOME Ultera Install Patrol volleyball event last Saturday, Ilonggos were given a chance to finally meet the Philippine Volleyball Superstars-----Women’s team Amihan and Men’s team Bagwis, with special participation of Ateneo Lady Eagles volleyball standout, Gretchen Ho.
Kicking off with a motorcade in the morning in Iloilo City’s major streets and followed by a volleyball clinic on the afternoon at the University of San Agustin Gym, the crowd witnessed the friendly game between Team Bagwis and CPU’s finest volleyball men team, followed by Team Amihan vs. CPU’s finest volleyball women team.
In the end, Team Bagwis outplayed Iloilo’s volleyball men’s team with scores 25-19 and 25-11, while Team Amihan also finished the game within two sets with scores 25-12 and 25-19.
New and existing subscribers of PLDT HOME Ultera were granted to meet and greet the volleyball superstars namely: Rachel Anne Daquis, Aiza Maizo-Pontillas, Mika Reyes, Peter Torres, Ran Ran Abdilla, John Vic De Guzman and Iloilo’s very own Jovelyn Gonzaga.
PLDT VP and HOME Marketing Head Gary Dujali delivered an inspiring message to young aspiring athletes in the country in reaching out strongest communications starting at homes, what the HOME Ultera broadband is truly about.
