Mitsubishi Motors Philippines confirmed as first auto assembler to be certified with latest version of Integrated Management System from TÜV Rheinland
Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corp. (MMPC) has been recertified for the Integrated Management System (IMS) based on the latest version released on September 2015 by the International Organization for Standardization. The turnover ceremony of certificates was led by MMPC President and CEO, Mr. Yoshiaki Kato and TÜV Rheinland Philippines, Inc. Managing Director, Engr. Tristan Arwen Loveres.
MMPC has since been maintaining its certification to ISO 9001 (Quality Management System) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System) since February 1999 and July 2001, respectively, and in June 2013, it passed the requirements for OHSAS 18001:2007 (Occupational Health & Safety Assessment Series) leading to its Integrated Management System (IMS) status under three international standards.
IMS combines all of an organization’s systems and procedures, namely quality, environment and occupational health and safety management systems, in to one complete framework, in order for an organization to work as a single unit with cohesive objectives.
International certification body TÜV Rheinland conducted the recertification audit last June 13-16, 2016 with nine independent external auditors coming to MMPC’s Sta. Rosa manufacturing facilities to assess and evaluate the plant.
MMPC is proud to be the first in the automotive industry to be certified under the 2015 version of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 and the only automotive company that maintains an Integrated Management System with three international standards. The certifications that the company have received are validations to MMPC’s commitment in ensuring their valued customers’ satisfaction and at the same time, thinking about the procedures and actions inside the facilities that will have a positive effect to the environment and society as a whole.
