NeverWet Spray-On Coating Could Waterproof Gadgets
Imagine being able to take your smartphone underwater, or use it out in the rain, and never worry about getting it wet.
Ross Technology Corp has developed a silicon-based "superhydrophobic" spray-on coating that repels water and heavy oils called NeverWet.
In the video below shows a calculator and an iPhone sprayed by NeverWet still functions perfectly after being submerged underwater.
NeverWet is still undergoing research, and will be available to consumers in early 2012.
