Nokia announces the Lumia 800 - "the first real Windows Phone"



Finally, The flagship device by Nokia called the Lumia 800 was announced by Nokia CEO Stephen Elop at Nokia World 2011 in London. Dubbed the "first real Windows Phone," from the outside, the Nokia Lumia 800 has the same design as the Nokia N9, only with a smaller display.

Stephen Elop also clarified that they already have over 30 carriers and retailers signed up to distribute the device, and the marketing push behind it will be unprecedented for a Nokia handset.

The sales start in November for UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands. Before the end of the year it will come to Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, India and Russia and will hit other counties by early next year.
