itel Power 70 In-Depth Review
itel Philippines has officially launched the highly anticipated itel Power 70 via an online livestream on its TikTok channel. This device is the latest addition to the popular P-Series and is designed to excel in battery performance. It features an impressive 6,000mAh onboard battery, along with an additional 4,000mAh charging case, bringing the total battery capacity to a remarkable 10,000mAh.

Additionally, the itel Power 70 boasts a 6.67-inch HD+ IPS display and is powered by the MediaTek Helio G50 Ultimate chipset. It comes with 4GB of RAM and offers storage options of either 128GB or 256GB. The device also includes a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing selfie camera.
I have already unboxed the device and shared my initial impressions. In this review, I will explore the smartphone's features in greater detail to help you determine if it is the right choice for you.
Design and Walk Around
As we discussed during the unboxing and initial impressions of the device, the itel Power 70, like its predecessors, features a sleek and modern design. I particularly appreciate this design since the back panel is resistant to fingerprints. My phone is in Marine color, but it is also available in three other shades: Black, Bronze, and Silver.

Despite housing a large battery, the itel Power 70 maintains a slim profile, measuring just 7.98 mm in thickness and weighing 200 grams. The smartphone is equipped with a 6.67-inch HD+ (720 x 1600) IPS display that offers a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The display features a centered hole-punch for an 8MP front camera located at the top, along with a thin, discreet flash positioned above it. Additionally, the phone comes with a pre-installed screen protector.

On the back of the phone, you will find three circular camera modules, which are primarily designed for aesthetic purposes. The phone actually features a dual-camera setup that includes a 13MP main camera and a depth sensor, coupled with a dual LED flash. One of the circular modules also contains an IR blaster.

On the left side of the device, there is a card tray with a 3-card slot that accommodates two nano-SIM cards and a dedicated slot for a microSD card.

The right side features the standard volume rocker and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button.

At the bottom of the device, you will find a USB Type-C charging port, a downward-firing speaker, a microphone, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The charging case features a sleek matte black finish and a hump-style design, with a slight bulge in the bottom half. This design not only offers a smooth and comfortable grip but also maintains a slim profile.

On the back of the case, there are four indicator lights and a power button. The bottom of the case is equipped with a USB Type-C charging port. Inside the charging case, you will find a USB Type-C connection for attaching the itel Power 70. Additionally, the specifications and instructions for operating the charging case are included.

Here’s the itel Power 70 once it is attached to the charging case.
Display and Multimedia
The itel Power 70 features a large 6.67-inch IPS display with a HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a maximum peak brightness of 700 nits. In addition, it includes an Eye Comfort Mode designed to reduce eye strain in low-light environments.

The IPS panel of the itel Power 70 produces vibrant colors and decent viewing angles. While the display can become quite bright, using the device in direct sunlight may pose some challenges, even at maximum brightness. With a pixel density of 263 ppi, the display remains sharp despite the HD+ resolution.

As for audio quality, the speaker provides typical sound performance for smartphones in this price range. It can reach loud volumes, but the overall audio quality is average. For an enhanced listening experience, it is recommended to use headphones or an external speaker.
Camera
Rear Cameras

The itel Power 70 features a dual-camera setup, consisting of a 13MP main camera and a secondary lens for depth sensing. It also includes several photographic functions such as AI portrait mode, filters, AI scene recognition, HDR mode, panorama, slow motion, time-lapse, group selfie mode, smile to shoot, and screen fill light.

While the camera is not the phone's standout feature, it performs adequately in bright lighting conditions. However, there is room for improvement in dynamic range in certain scenarios.
Indoor and low-light photos may sometimes appear muddy, but they are still suitable for casual use on social media.
Front Selfie Camera
The itel Power 70 is equipped with an 8MP front camera. The front camera performs well in well-lit environments, although background blurring for portrait selfies is not perfect; it remains acceptable for most users.
Video Recording
The itel Power 70 supports video recording at 1080p and 30fps for both the main and front cameras. However, videos recorded with the main camera may appear shaky due to the absence of image stabilization.
itel OS 14.5, Apps, and Security
The itel Power 70 is equipped with an updated version of itel OS, which is based on Android 14. This new interface features a modern design that is user-friendly and easy to navigate. It comes with Google’s standard app suite, along with some additional applications that may not be necessary.

The device also features a Dual App option, enabling users to keep multiple social media accounts logged in at the same time. Another notable highlight is itel's new Dynamic Bar, which allows users to view notifications and perform actions, such as answering calls or responding to message alerts. Additionally, there is an IR remote app that transforms your smartphone into a universal remote control for infrared devices like TVs, air conditioners, and more.

In terms of security, the itel Power 70 has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button, as well as a facial recognition feature for unlocking the device. While the fingerprint sensor is quick and accurate, the facial recognition feature may be slower in low-light conditions.
Hardware and Performance
The itel Power 70 features MediaTek’s new Helio G50 Ultimate chipset, which is manufactured using a 12nm process. It includes eight Cortex-A53 cores: four running at 2.2GHz and four at 1.7GHz. The device is also equipped with a PowerVR GE8320 GPU.

Additionally, the itel Power 70 supports RAM Expansion technology called MemFusion, which allows you to virtually expand the phone's RAM using its internal storage. This can utilize up to 4GB, resulting in a total usable RAM of up to 8GB.
In terms of performance, the device can handle casual and light tasks smoothly. However, you may experience slight stutters and lags with some apps and games, even on the lowest settings. It's important to note that this is not a gaming smartphone, so expectations should be moderated.

The itel Power 70 is available in the Philippines with two storage options: 128GB and 256GB. My unit has 256GB of storage and used 21.51GB right out of the box. If you need more storage, you can expand it via its dedicated microSD card slot.
Below are the benchmark scores for this device:
- AnTuTu v10.4.6 – 154,055
- AnTuTu Storage Test v10.4.6 – 9,691 (239.7 MB/s Seq. Read, 217.0 MB/s Seq. Write)
- Geekbench 6.4.0 – 194 (Single-core), 814 (Multi-core)
- PCMark – 5,577 (Work 3.0)
- 3DMark – 483 (SSE – OpenGL ES 3.1), 665 (SSE – Vulkan)

The device is protected against dust and water with an IP54 rating, making it suitable for everyday use. You can confidently use it during outdoor splashes or on rainy days, and it remains protected from sand and dust particles.
Additionally, the device is drop-resistant and can withstand falls and impacts, allowing it to endure routine drops and bumps without any damage.
Battery and Connectivity
The itel Power 70 features a large 6,000mAh battery, complemented by a 4,000mAh charging case that provides extended hours for social media browsing and mobile gaming without frequent recharging. During my casual to moderate usage, the battery lasts an entire day without needing an additional charge. In the PCMark Work 3.0 Battery Life Test, the device (without the charging case) achieved a score of approximately 15 hours and 16 minutes.
Additionally, the itel Power 70 comes with an 18W PowerCharge charger. It includes features such as Reverse Charging, AI Charging Mode, and a 4-year Battery Health Guarantee. The battery is designed to endure over 1,600 charging cycles while retaining more than 80% of its capacity after four years.
Moreover, the itel Power 70 is equipped with standard connectivity features, including dual SIM (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by), 4G LTE, WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C.
