Hey guys... it's kinda funny... but let me ask you: from where did you got the info about the update to 2.3?? Now it's already Feb. 13. and the update hasn't been released yet obviously. Such a shame...

im intrested in that answer too.

 Yes, for the Philippines only.

Maybe, Alcatel is just updating their server that's why some are experiencing slow updates.

Thanks for the quick answer!

What does "here in the country" mean? Is it supposed to be the Philippines? If so, should it work in other countries as well?

Adrian said...

Yes in the Philippines only and I don't know if it is available elsewhere but I see in some forum that in Russia it is already available, but you can try once the server issue is fix maybe you can also update your phone online.

Even here many users are already tired of updating online you can see that at Alcatel's Facebook page at the source above. That's why some are suggesting to go to the nearest Alcatel Customer Service Center for the free upgrade. BTW some users here has already upgraded to gingerbread v2.3.4 since February 8.

Hey guys. It's for the Philippines only. Some users complain about updating online even here, others decided that the best way to upgrade is to bring your phone, receipt and warranty card to the nearest Alcatel Customer Service Center here in the country for the free update and it only took them two hours to upgrade..

Until now most people who updated their phone online, still encountered that problem. Try bringing your phone to the Alcatel Customer Service Center in your country for the free update.
