If you can see both the Cherry Mobile W500 Titan and the MyPhone A898 Duo have the same RAM, internal storage, both have GPU's that can play Angry Birds, Bad Piggies, Temple Run and is compatible with Adobe Flash, but the Cherry Mobile W500 Titan edges the Cherry Mobile Flare with its huge 5.0-inch display, 720p HD video recording and its large 2,350mAh battery (1,500mAh for the CM Flare), while the Cherry Mobile Flare boasts an IPS display technology (giving it a wide viewing angle, fast response speed and a simple pixel structure), a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor (1GHz for the CM W500 Titan) and an unbelievably low price of Php3,999 only (The CM Flare is Php2,500 cheaper than the CM W500 Titan).

Update: The MediaTek MT6577 is faster than the Qualcomm MSM8625 S4. The MT6577 is a dual-core Cortex A9 while the MSM8625 S4 is a dual-core Cortex A5. The A5 is more efficient, but peak performance the A9 beats it handily. However, it the speed difference is pretty negligible for general usage. It'll only be apparent in benchmarks and games. Thanks AnaIvanovic2!

Actually, the MediaTek MTK6577 is faster than the MSM8225 S4. The comparison table got that wrong. The MTK6577 is a dual-core Cortex A9 while the MSM8225 S4 is a dual-core Cortex A5. The A5 is more efficient, but peak performance the A9 beats it handily. However, it the speed difference is pretty negligible for general usage. It'll only be apparent in benchmarks and games.

An IPS (in-plane switching) LCD is a type of thin display that offers better viewing angles, fast response speed and a simple pixel structure than regular TFT-LCDs (Found in CM's W500 Titan). IPS-LCDs feature two transistors for each pixel, where TFT-LCDs use just one. This requires a more powerful backlight, which delivers more accurate colors, and allows the screen to be viewed from a wider angle. The downside is that an IPS-LCD may consume more power than a TFT-LCD.

IPS-LCDs typically are found on high-end smartphones and tablets (Apple's iPhone, iPad, LG Optimus G, Asus Transformer Pads). IPS-LCDs is also found on some budget-friendly smartphone (CM W100, Candy TV, MyPhone A878/A898 Duo and Starmobile Astra).
