Starmobile recently unveiled its newest additions to its line of smartphones, the Knight X and the UP Snap, the first local branded smartphone with an ULTRAPIXEL camera. More details after the jump.

Starmobile UP Snap
The UP Snap is a 5-inch Android smartphone with an 8-megapixel UltraPixel camera that features light sensors and larger-than-average pixels with the help of the f2.0 wide aperture lens. It is built with a 1.2GHz quad-core Broadcom BCM23550M ARM Cortex-A7, 1GB RAM, and 8GB internal memory (expandable up to 32GB via microSD card). The Starmobile UP Snap runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS and has a battery capacity of 2,900mAh.

“Filipinos are fond of taking photos and the UP Snap is just the phone for them,” said Chen. “This is Starmobile’s best mid-range camera phone to date and we are thrilled to be the first to offer UltraPixel technology,” he added.
