Nokia 808 PureView: 41 Megapixel Camera with Carl Zeiss lens and Xenon flash!

Nokia unveiled today the Nokia 808 PureView, the successor to the Nokia N8. The Nokia 808 features a record breaking 41 megapixel camera with Carl-Zeiss lens, both Xenon flash plus an LED video light, f/2.4 aperture and enhanced low-light abilities. The large 41 megapixel sensor benefits from what Nokia calls the pixel oversampling technology, which captures image data from seven adjacent pixels and condenses it into one, resulting in stills at around 5 MP resolution with amazing detail and low noise levels.

The Nokia 808 also comes with a single-core 1.3GHz processor, 4-inch nHD (640x360) AMOLED display, 512MB of RAM, Symbian Belle OS, 16GB of internal storage, microSD up to 32GB, NFC, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, HSPA 14.4Mbps and GPS w/ aGPS support.

The phone is also capable of capturing full HD 1080p video recording and playback with 4X lossless zoom. It uses Nokia’s new Rich Recording technology that enables audio recording at CD-like levels of quality.  The Nokia 808 PureView even has Dolby Headphone technology that produces a surround sound experience over any headphones and a Dolby Digital Plus for 5.1 channel surround sound playback.

The Nokia 808 PureView will be available in May 2012 for the price of 450 Euros (Php26,000).
