Sony launches the Xperia Ion (LT28i) in the Philippines for Php29,990



Sony Mobile Philippines just launched the Xperia S bigger brother, the Xperia Ion (LT28i) last Wednesday along with the company's first Android 4.0 ICS device, the Xperia Neo L. The Sony Xperia Ion will also be available soon in Sony Mobile shops and partner stores with a suggested retail price of Php29,990. Aside from its great display functionalities, the Xperia Ion also packs a powerful punch with 10 hours of talk time and up to 400 hours of standby time. What's the difference between Sony Xperia Ion and Sony Xperia S?

Sony Xperia Ion's hardware specifications is similar to its smaller brother, the Sony Xperia S and the only difference between the Xperia Ion compared to the Xperia S is the 4.55-inch HD display, 4G network (LTE), 16GB of internal storage, microSD support, 1,900mAh battery and the capacitive android buttons of the Xperia Ion.

Note:
- Sony Xperia Ion LTE feature won’t work in the Philippines due to the different LTE frequency it supports. But, it will still support HSPA+ and you can also use it with AT&T’s LTE if you decide to bring it to the US.
- Widget City, an online store here in the Philippines is already selling the Sony Xperia Ion, since June for a price of just Php24,900 only.
