The new 2013 Kaspersky Anti-Virus and Internet Security provides maximum protection for your digital assets

Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content and threat management solutions, understands the importance of personal information and digital media that people store online and in their PCs. Kaspersky Lab also knows that unfortunately, cybercriminals directly target online banking and social media accounts, passwords and other confidential private information. When these cybercriminals attempt to steal financial data, similarly important virtual files such as personal document, family photos and videos end up being destroyed.

To counter such attacks, Kaspersky Lab developed a number of unique technologies to provide maximum protection for your digital assets. Such technologies were incorporated into the design and development of the 2013 versions of the Kaspersky Internet Security and Kaspersky Anti-Virus consumer products, the company’s latest software security products.

Kaspersky Lab Southeast Asia Channel Sales Director Jimmy Fong says the new newest version of Kaspersky Lab’s flagship consumer suite is very ideal for Filipinos who are becoming among the fastest creators and consumers of digital content.  The use of online shopping he said, mostly to buy budget travel tickets and assorted products from group buying or discount sites, is on an upward trend in the Philippines.

Incidentally, a very recent report called Web Index by the World Wide Web Foundation led by Internet inventor Tim Berners-Lee showed the Philippines ranked 32nd out of 61 countries for its use of the web.

Fong said this is an indicator that Filipinos are now more connected to the web than ever before which will eventually affect their online habits as well as their virtual and real-life assets.

“It only tells us that Filipinos have become highly savvy in using the Internet. The report also means the infrastructure is improving and catching up in terms of speed. We see that Filipinos are now embracing the web and integrating it into their daily lives. But this would mean that the Philippines can be a potential target to cybercriminals,” Fong says.

“‘Safeguarding Me’ is our tagline for the new 2013 Kaspersky Anti-Virus and Kaspersky Internet Security. We at Kaspersky Lab encourage Filipinos to strongly safeguard the important data they store online. With today’s cyber landscape, it is no longer impossible that these may be stolen from them and even used against them,” he said.

Your digital life, simplified
Overall, the aim of the new Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 is to provide Filipino users with peace of mind when it comes to the security of personal information and real-life financial data, while Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2013 provides essential protection against modern cyber threats.

Kaspersky Lab have combined all their groundbreaking protection technologies in one, simple-to-use, resource-efficient security suite, now designed with dedicated protection against the most complex threats to money.
