Epson wins EISA Award as Projector of the Year 2012-2013!

Continuing its success in digital imaging, Epson, the leading global manufacturer of projection technology, has re-affirmed its position by winning the ‘European Projector 2012-2013’ award for its EH-TW9000W from the European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA). The EISA panel was impressed with the product’s very easy set-up, the excellent video processing, and its movement compensation.  EISA commented, “This is one of the best solutions on the market today – use to build the home cinema set-up of your dreams.”

“The EISA awards are a key industry indicator of quality products, and this recognition for the EH-TW9000W is testimony to Epson’s expertise in producing high-quality projectors. This award adds to the existing achievement of the EH-TW9000W, which received an award from TIPA (Technical Image Press Association) earlier this year. Epson prides itself on being at the forefront of projection and home cinema technology,” said Epson Philippines Corporation Country Manager Toshimitsu Tanaka.

Earlier this year, Epson has attained two significant milestones in its projector business – first, by achieving an unprecedented 11th straight year of global projector market leadership, and second, by shipping a total of 80 million high-temperature polysilicon (HTPS) TFT liquid crystal panels for 3LCD projectors, representing about 26.5 million projector units.

According to the latest data from specialist projector market research company, Futuresource Consulting, Epson achieved the number one global projector market share of 22.9% in 2011, making it the top projector maker for an 11th straight year. This figure also represents Epson’s seventh straight year of market share growth and is the highest that Epson has achieved in the past 11 years.

For over two decades, Epson has maintained its position as the world's No. 1 supplier of HTPS panels, the core devices at the heart of 3LCD projectors. It has led the industry by developing and providing technologies that boost power and performance.
