“For 25 years, ViewSonic has been a leading innovator in display technology, with a number of industry firsts which have helped transform the market. Some of our milestones include bringing ultra fast response time, 3D technologies, and various embedded architectures to the desktop,” said Jeff Volpe, president of ViewSonic Americas. “Today, we support this heritage with new solutions that revolutionize the way we connect with our digital world, from Android-based smart displays and 10-point Windows 8 certified touch displays, to technology demonstrations of one of the first 4K Ultra HD displays for the desktop. 2013 will change the way we compute, communicate and engage and ViewSonic is poised to lead in the ubiquitous computing evolution”

Connected Desktop Smart Display Series
ViewSonic’s new smart displays are aimed at changing the way people compute. With a 24” (23.6” Viewable) dual point optical touch screen, the VSD240 smart display pairs a 1920x1080 Full HD resolution monitor with a quad-core, nVIDIA 1.7Ghz processer and Android 4.1 “Jelly Bean” OS with full Google GMS certification, offering a new way to experience the web. Also available in the 22” VSD220, these PC-less smart displays offer versatile connectivity (Micro HDMI, three USB ports, Micro SD card), plenty of network connection options (RJ45 Ethernet, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth) and a built in 1.3MP webcam, integrated microphone and SRS 3D Technology speakers. These features offer tablet-like browsing, a touch-enabled Full HD display and a traditional PC computer all in one device.

Windows 8 certified TD 40 Display Series
Exceptional interactivity comes standard in the TD 40 Series. With the 10-point projected capacitive touch technology and 7H surface hardness, the TD 40 Series delivers best-in-class touch experience with unparalleled accuracy and speed. Available in 23” TD2340, 27” TD2740 and 32” TD3240 sizes, the display family features Professional Grade IPS panels with 1920x1080 Full HD resolution and 20,000,000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio for stunning picture and color performance. All three models offer integrated SRS Premium Sound speakers, market leading connectivity inputs (DisplayPort, HDMI and VGA), VESA mount compatibility and Energy Star and EPEAT certifications to complete the immersive touch display experience. For optimal interaction and comfort when using the Windows 8 OS, the 23” TD2340 features a highly ergonomic design, enabling the monitor to pivot or lay flat. The TD2740 includes a picture frame stand so it too can be laid flat for easier ergonomics and most comfortable use of its integrated webcam.

4K – Unbelievable Ultra HD
4K Ultra HD displays provide four times the resolution of a standard 1080p full HD display (3,840 x 2,160), making this technology ideal for consumers who want glorious, immersive images. ViewSonic is one of the first companies to preview the technology in a desktop display for cinematography and high-end design usage. As 4K Ultra HD content advancements continue to develop, the company expects the high-resolution displays to gain popularity among professional power users. ViewSonic will continue to closely monitor the 4K Ultra HD market so it can productize quickly once market conditions warrant the launch of a solution that holds true to the company’s value proposition.
