Smart Communications rolls out country's first telco store on wheels!

Subscribers of wireless leader Smart Communications (Smart) can now enjoy another convenient means to avail of the telco’s products and services. Smart today unveiled in Makati City the country’s first telco store on wheels, the Smart Store on Wheels. More details after the jump.

“This innovation is part of our continuous expansion of service channels, to ensure that we are where our over 50 million customers need us to be, and to make sure that their needs are efficiently addressed,” said Orlando B. Vea, co-founder and chief wireless advisor of Smart.

Initially deployed to go around the central business districts of Makati and Taguig, the Smart Store on Wheels is WiFi-enabled and fully online, and allows the telco’s subscribers to try out the latest mobile gadgets, make inquiries, buy devices, and learn what’s new with Smart.

The mobile store is also open to non-Smart subscribers who wish to submit their application for new subscriptions. Application verifications and release of devices may also be handled by the Smart Store on Wheels.

The Smart Store on Wheels complements the telco’s network of 100 Smart Stores and over 50 accredited sales centers (ASCs) all over the country. ASCs are service channels operated by Smart’s distributor partners, and were strategically established by Smart last year to bring its services closer to subscribers in the provinces.

The Store on Wheels also complements other service channels developed by Smart for customer service and sales, including the 24/7 hotline *888 which subscribers can call for free if they need assistance, the online account management portal my.Smart (http://smart.com.ph/account), the Sales hotline 8488877 or *887 for existing Smart subscribers, and the online shop (http://store.smart.com.ph), which handles new subscription applications.

“This wide array of customer service solutions and sales channels are designed to address the different needs of our subscribers, and even non-Smart users who wish to experience the superior mobile services their friends and family already enjoy,” ends Vea.
