Shifting to a new gear
The Chevrolet Spin is offered in three variants: 1.5L automatic gas variant with manual mode option, 1.3L Turbo Diesel in LS and LTZ trims. Both diesel and gas engines have unique offerings that sets it apart from the competition. The 1.3L turbo diesel engine is a first in the compact AUV segment. It delivers economical fuel consumption cost without sacrificing power and acceleration. The diesel variant can produce 75PS @4000RPM of power and 190NM @ 1,750RPM of torque. The 1.5L gas on the other hand is equipped with a 6 speed automatic transmission with manual mode option. The transmission is optimized to match the power characteristic of the engine to give the best performance and fuel efficiency. The1.5L LTZ gas variant produces 107PS @ 6000RPM of power and 148NM @ 3,800RPM of torque. It also offers a segments firs@t 6-speed automatic transmission with manual mode option that translates to better fuel consumption efficiency during long drives in open road highways.
Bold and modern design
The Chevrolet Spin is unlike any other compact vans, as it is built with a sporty sleek design that breaks the traditional utilitarian look. With its dual-port front grille, muscular and imposing lines give it modern yet distinctive presence, while its stance and proportions, helped by a high belt-line and impressive side-lines provides a commanding presence. The Chevrolet Spin LTZ variants come with standard roof rails, front/rear fog lamps and 15” alloy wheels that make the vehicles worth a second look.
More room for fun
The Chevrolet Spin is a spacious and versatile All-around Utility Vehicle (AUV). It is a 7-seater with 23 configurable seating positions. The Spin has a 162 liter cargo capacity which can increase to 710 liters when the 3rd row is folded and 1,668 liters if both 3rd and 2nd row are collapsed. The seats are also positioned in a theatrical style which provides a good view of the front for all the passengers. For better organization of loose items, the Chevrolet Spin has 32 storage areas that can accommodate cups, folders, water bottles and other important small items.
The Spin’s interior also features Chevrolet’s signature dual-cockpit layout, accentuated by a two-tone instrument panel with details to provide a premium feel. The driver faces an instrument cluster that houses a digital speedometer flanked by an analog tachometer, adding a touch of sportiness to the Spin’s interior.
Another highlight about the Spin’s interior is its insulation. The interior is well-insulated to isolate occupants from noise, vibration and harshness (NVH), providing a very quiet and comfortable ride.
