Google launches Crisis Map and Person Finder for Typhoon Yolanda/Haiyan



Google Crisis Map for Typhoon Yolanda

Google Philippines and Google.org, with the help of several volunteer mappers from GDG and GBG communities, have published the Google Crisis Map for Typhoon Yolanda. On it are locations of evacuation centers, hospitals and health facilities, and command posts, as well as a map overlay of disaster prone areas. The path of the typhoon is also tracked, with satellite images of the clouds and rainfall.

Google Person Finder for Typhoon Yolanda is now active. Please use the page if you are looking for someone or have information about someone in the midst of the typhoon.

  1. All data entered into Google Person Finder is available to the public and searchable and accessible by anyone. Google does not review or verify the accuracy of the data. The standard Google Terms of Service apply to all users of Google Person Finder.
