Geared towards intensifying its product roadmap for the mid-range market segment in the Philippines, world leader in computing innovation Intel, together with premium local brand Starmobile, recently launched the Intel Atom processor-powered Full HD tablet, the ENGAGE 9i. The strategic collaboration between Intel and Starmobile is set to bring forth a new wave of powerful devices for mobile workspaces at affordable prices in 2014.

As mobility becomes fundamental in various lifestyles, consumers increasingly search for compatibility and connectivity features that deliver amazing multimedia experiences. Whether it is for business, education, or gaming, Intel’s advanced technologies help enhance the speed and efficiency of mobile devices, thus, helping users think and move faster.

Such is the case for the Intel Atom processor-powered Starmobile ENGAGE 9i. This impressive Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean tablet packs the 2GHz dual core Intel Atom Z2580 processor and 2GB of RAM which gives it the ability to run multiple Android applications with ease.

The Intel Hyper-Threading Technology (Intel HT Technology) helps maximizes processing power by intelligently managing applications, so users are able to multi-task without compromising responsiveness, system efficiency, or manageability.

“We at Starmobile are truly excited to offer our first tablet with an Intel SoC processor,” said Starmobile President Michael Chen. “This is a collaboration which will further enable both Starmobile and Intel to offer compelling mobile experience at the right price.”

Coupled with an 8.9-inch Full High Definition (1920 x 1200 pixels) multi-touch screen and built-in Yamaha Stereo Speakers, the Starmobile ENGAGE 9i takes ‘content consumption’ experience to a whole new level as it delivers the amazing audio and video playback experience. Videos, photos, and movies can be stored in the 16GB internal storage, a MicroSD card (up to 64GB), or via external storage devices which can be connected using an optional USB On-The-Go (USB OTG) cable.

The Starmobile ENGAGE 9i inspires content creation and sharing with its 5-Megapixel (MP) auto focus rear camera and 2MP front camera for mobile photography on the go, video calls, and even capturing Full HD videos.

Users can also effortlessly balance work and play on the go without worrying about battery life – as the device packs a 6500mAh battery pack that just lasts.

“Intel continues to push the boundary in delivering powerful SoCs that enable mobile devices to deliver amazing user experiences. This holds true in our collaboration with Starmobile as ENGAGE 9i meet the needs of today’s consumers on performance and battery life. The local market has yet to see all the remarkable stream of innovations and we are excited to bring these mobile devices to them this year,” said Intel Philippines Country Manager Calum Chisholm.
