MyPhone recently announced the Tierra MyPad 4, the smaller successor to the silently released and barely two months old Tierra MyPad 3. The MyPhone Tierra MyPad 4 is now available at the company stores and accredited dealers nationwide. There’s no clear information about the pricing, but it seems the Php9,988 is the suggested retail price that will be set after an initial price promo. More details after the jump.
The MyPhone Tierra MyPad 4 is more of a successor in name, though, as it doesn't actually improve on the insides of its predecessor, save for a minor spec bump in the rear camera. The MyPad 4 runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and is equipped with a 7.8-inch XGA (1024x768) IPS display, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage (expandable of up to 32GB).
For camera feature, it is equipped with 8MP autofocus rear shooter with LED flash and 5MP camera at the front. The MyPad 4 is also powered by 1.2GHz quad-core MediaTek MT8389M processor and comes with 7,000mAh battery, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 as well as support for USB OTG.
Another feature that also got carried over to the MyPad 4 from its predecessor is the company’s anti-theft tech called TARA (Theft Apprehension and Asset Recovery Application ). This is a built-in Anti-theft technology which can remotely disable your handset to secure your data in case the phone gets stolen or lost. TARA is a proudly Pinoy App and exclusive to MyPhone users.
