Alongside the Ultra Dual USB Drive, SanDisk also introduced in the country the SanDisk Extreme PRO USB 3.0 flash drive that features professional-grade performance (up to 60 times faster than the standard USB 2.0 drives), and a generous 128GB of storage. More details after the jump.

“The SanDisk Extreme PRO USB 3.0 drive offers world-class performance for technology fanatics who demand high-speed, durability and peace of mind that their files will be safe,” said Candy Gao, Country Manager, Hong Kong and Philippines, SanDisk. “We are excited to expand our USB 3.0 solutions and this is another example of our continuing effort to allow our consumers to get fast access to content and data.”

The high-performance SanDisk Extreme PRO USB 3.0 flash drive takes advantage of the next-generation specifications by providing write speeds of up to 240MB/s and read speeds up to 260MB/s. These speeds can allow users to transfer a full-length movie in seconds or 1,000 hi-res photo in less than 35 seconds, making the drive a perfect device for storing photos and videos. According to Multimedia Research Group, Inc, this is just one of the contributing factors why USB 3.0-enabled device shipments can be expected to surpass two billion in 2016, up from 600 million (approx.) in 2013.

SanDisk’s Extreme PRO USB 3.0 flash drive comes in a sophisticated and durable aluminum metal casing that protects it against wear and tear. Every purchase also comes with a SanDisk SecureAccess software, which provides up to 128-bit of AES file encryption and password protection to secure private files while leaving the rest of the drive visible for sharing. The drive also comes with a lifetime limited warranty and world-class customer support.

Pricing and Availability
The SanDisk Extreme PRO USB 3.0 flash drive will be available in the Philippines by March. A 128-GB capacity USB drive comes at a suggested retail price of Php13,500.
