Xiaomi Redmi now available in the Philippines via Lazada, priced at Php7,300!
Xiaomi’s affordable 4.7-inch quad-core smartphone, the Redmi, or originally known in China as the “Hongmi” is now available for purchase in the Philippines via Lazada for Php7,300. Lazada’s imported offering costs a little bit more, since the device which was launched in Singapore last February comes with a price tag of S$169 (around Php6,000). More details after the jump.
The Xiaomo Redmi comes with a MediaTek Quad-core 1.5GHz processor which uses a 28-nanometer process technology and ARM's low-energy Cortex-A7 core, which lets you get amazing performance from your battery. It also comes with Imagination Technologies' SGX544 PowerVR Series GPU.
Redmi's 4.7-inch HD (1280x720) In-plane switching (IPS) display with 312 ppi delivers superfine text and crisp photos. Redmi's Corning Gorilla Glass 2 screen is scratch resistant, impact-tested, and extremely responsive.
On the camera side the device is equipped with a 8MP rear camera with an extra large 1.4ųm sensor, 5 plastic lens, ƒ/2.2 aperture and 28mm wide angle lens let you focus in on objects in the foreground while softly blurring the rest of the photograph. Redmi also features a "Dirac sound technology," the same sound technology used by BMW, Bentley and Rolls Royce.
