Chevrolet Philippines achieves record sales for the first semester of 2014

Riding its steady momentum since last year, Chevrolet Philippines-The Covenant Car Company, Inc. (TCCCI) continues its sustained growth for the first two quarters of 2014. Chevrolet sold a total of 4,066 units for the first six months of the year, so far its all-time best half year performance. June sales totaled 701 units, resulting in one of the highest performing months for Chevrolet in the Philippines.

Chevrolet delivered a notable performance this year by achieving 79% growth compared to the same period last year. As of May 2014, Chevrolet has also garnered the ranking of 7th overall top performer in the Philippine automotive industry, from its 12th position in 2009. Hence, the Chevrolet brand is keeping its positive outlook in hitting their targets this year.

The ‘Bowtie’ brand, as it has come to be known and patronized, noted that the continuously increasing demand for the Turbo-diesel powerhouse team, namely the Chevrolet brand’s current best seller- the Chevrolet Trailblazer, the Chevrolet Colorado and of course the Chevrolet Spin, continues to be the reason behind its record performance since January. The Chevrolet Trailblazer was the strongest performer in the Chevrolet line-up as it sold a total of 2,211 units in the first six months of the year, while the Chevrolet Spin sold a total of 868 units in the first semester, averaging 145 units per month.
