Conference & Exhibition Management Services Pte Ltd. and Singapore Glass Association will be staging Glasstech Asia 2014, the most reputable annual glass exhibition in Southeast Asia, at the World Trade Center Metro Manila from November 25 to 27, 2014, in the light of the booming local construction industry, whose 2014 second quarter demand increased by 11.23% from 29,4241 construction projects in the second quarter of 2013.

“The Philippine real estate sector has been experiencing robust growth, fueled by developments in tourism and business process outsourcing. With the government increasing its infrastructure budget to construct more offices, buildings, and other facilities, it is but apt to hold Glasstech Asia 2014 in the Philippines, where architectural design trends are leaning towards more innovative use of glass,” said Renato R. Ermita, National President, Flat Glass Alliance of the Philippines, Inc. (FGAPI).

Lin Rong Mou, President, Philippine Chamber of Glass & Aluminum Industries, Inc. (PCGAII) added, “Glass has become an indispensable construction material that combines aesthetic appeal and energy efficiency. As demand for glass increases with the proliferating real estate sector, we hope that Glasstech Asia 2014 will provide stakeholders with the insights they need to make wise choices in their building design.”

The 12th in the Glasstech series of exhibits, Glasstech Asia 2014 will serve as a platform for trade professionals ranging from architects to facility managers, to expand their knowledge on glass manufacturing, processing, and the product and materials sector.

Glasstech Asia 2014 will concurrently feature Hollow Glass Asia 2014,a specialized international exhibition for the hollow glass manufacturing, machinery, equipment and glass products industry, and Glass Accessories Asia 2014, an international exhibition for glass accessories and products.

Last year’s Glasstech Asia held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia saw more than 3,500 visitors and delegates and played host to 183 exhibiting companies from 20 countries, generating an impressive USD136 million worth of business deals over the three-day event. This year, Glasstech Asia 2014 will offer greater content and new partnerships, featuring at least 220 exhibitors from 30 countries.

“Glass is the material of choice in this day and age when aesthetics and green technology have become primary considerations in housing and building design. Glasstech Asia 2014 aims to address knowledge gaps in glass processing, manufacturing, and product characteristics, and help global glass industry players tap into the growing Southeast Asian market,” says Edward Liu, PBM, Group Managing Director, Conference & Exhibition Management Services Pte. Ltd.
