LG G3 users in the Philippines to get Android 5.0 Lollipop upgrade this December 2014!

LG G3 Android 5.0 Lollipop Upgrade

Global technology innovator LG Electronics establishes its leadership in the smartphone industry yet again as it is the first to upgrade to the Android 5.0 Lollipop with its flagship G3 model. As the first global smartphone manufacturer to offer this highly anticipated upgrade in 2014, LG has already begun rolling out in Poland, and soon enough, it will make its way to the Philippines on early December.

This latest Android OS delivers a host of improvements including a new design language with added depth, shadows, and animations. Notifications are improved with a new layout and color scheme and will be available on the new lock screen. A new security feature to strengthen the connectivity between devices will include enabling users to unlock their smartphone when it is physically near a pre-registered Bluetooth device such as the LG G Watch or G Watch R. Lollipop also introduces Android Runtime (ART) software to improve performance.

Jay Won, vice president for LG Mobile Philippines, said, “We are looking forward to delivering the Lollipop upgrade to the local market with our LG G3. The new features and improvements of this new Android 5.0 will further cultivate the G3’s Simple is the New Smart philosophy and the brand’s commitment to providing continuously enhanced user experiences for our consumers.”

LG G3, the electronic giant’s current flagship smartphone, takes pride in its three core technologies—the breathtaking Quad HD display with 538ppi pixel density, the superior-quality camera with Optical Image Stabilization Plus (OIS+) and Laser Auto Focus, and the sleek Floating Arc design with ultra-slim bezels and metallic finish—all providing a seamless “simple and smart” user experience.

As the Android 5.0 Lollipop upgrade rolls out in G3 smartphones worldwide, LG will subsequently announce an upgrade schedule for its other mobile devices.

  1. Overhyped na naman ito. Check out a better alternative, a ZTE Nubia Z7, with image stabilizer camera, expandable memory, and a snapdragon processor
