With the arrival of DIZO to the local market, consumers can now look forward to more tech options that guarantee superb quality and value-for-money.

Launching alongside the DIZO GoPods Neo under the Smart Entertainment category is the DIZO GoPods D. The GoPods D is an affordable True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earbud that sports a lightweight and ergonomic design. It also features a built-in 10mm driver with a Bass Boost+ algorithm, Bluetooth 5.0, and 20 hours of playback time.

Like the previous DIZO devices, the packaging comes in DIZO’s signature white-colored box. The front portion indicates the GoPods D and realme TechLife branding; while the model number, color, customer care details, and other details are imprinted on the backside of the box.

You can also find the DIZO and realme’s TechLife logo on both sides, while the six important key features of the GoPods D are on the bottom.

After opening the box and sliding its contents, you will see the DIZO GoPods D charging case protected by a matte plastic lining, earbud tips in two sizes (S and L with M-size tips already installed by default on the earbuds), user guide with warranty card, and a short micro-USB charging cable for charging the case.

Design and Walk Around

Like the DIZO GoPods Neo, the GoPods D also comes in a matte pebble-like casing, while the earbuds sport a radial metallic texture design. With the advanced engraving process, the dense concentric circles found at the touch-sensitive area of the earbuds are carved into the surface, mimicking the flow of music waves.

The DIZO GoPods D is available in two colors - Black and White.

The front of the charging case contains the LED notification, while on the back is the hinge of the charging case and micro-USB charging port. The case comes with a Magnetic lid to secure both buds.

Found inside the charging case are the earbuds and unlike the GoPods Neo, there is no multi-function key.

Now, let's take a closer look at the earbuds themselves. At the top is where the earbud touch control area and microphone are located. Meanwhile, the charging contact pins, L/R indicator, back and front tone holes can be seen at the bottom.

Pairing and realme Link App

To pair the DIZO GoPods D using the usual Bluetooth pairing or by downloading the realme Link app, just keep your earbuds inside its charging case and touch and hold both touch areas for at least 3 seconds to enable pairing mode. Removing the earbuds from the charging case will automatically reconnect to the previously paired device.

The realme Link app will allow you to see if the device is connected, the battery levels of each earbud, change the sound effects (Bass Boost+, Balanced and Bright), enable Game mode, and customize the touch controls on the left and right earbuds.

The touch control area of the earbuds supports several controls: A double-tap answers or hangs up a call, pauses or plays music and a triple tap skips to the next track. A long press on one earbud rejects incoming calls, while a long press on both earbuds for 2 seconds enables or disables game mode; while volume will have to be adjusted on the source device.

Audio Quality and Comfort

As to the audio quality, it’s on the decent side for its price. You can feel the bass, vocals are present and still clear, and it can also get very loud.

For comfort, the earbuds of GoPods D is light and comfortable to wear and feels almost like it's not in your ear. Its ergonomic shape fits securely on my ear and does not fall off if I try shaking my head hard.

Other Features

The DIZO GoPods D sports an Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC) for calls. ENC noise cancellation algorithm blocks out ambient noise during calls, so your voice comes clear no matter your surroundings. For gaming, GoPods D comes with Game Mode with a latency as low as 110ms.

Additionally, the earbuds come with a 10mm Bass Boost Driver, and the earbuds of the DIZO GoPods D also support IPX4 water resistance.

Battery Life and Charging

According to DIZO, the high-capacity battery of the GoPods D can last up to 20 hours of total playback time with the charging case.

The GoPods D also supports fast charging. With just 10 minutes of charging time, you’ll get 2 hours of playback. Charging the charging case from 0% to 100% capacity takes around two and a half hours. Fully charging the earbuds in the charging case takes 1 hour and 40 minutes.
