Sun Cellular tops competition with better-value BlackBerry SIM-only offerings

Keeping up with its thrust of providing mobile services at best-value, leading postpaid carrier Sun Cellular once again tops competition with its intensified line-up of BlackBerry SIM-only plans. For only P449 per month, BlackBerry users can now avail of Sun’s SIM-only package with unlimited Sun-to-Sun calls and text and unlimited BlackBerry Messaging (BBM). Given the same inclusions, this Sun Cellular rate is 55% less than that of the other mobile provider.

Meanwhile, Sun Cellular offers BlackBerry Data and Social plans for avid users of mobile internet and social networking applications, respectively. At just P600 per month, subscribers can choose to subscribe to the Data Plan 600 with unlimited BlackBerry Browsing, mobile internet and 200 Sun-to-Sun texts. Subscribers may also choose to avail of Sun’s Social Plan 600 with unlimited Sun-to-Sun calls and texts, BBM, BlackBerry Browsing and social networking applications.

For almost the same price as the service offered by another brand, Sun BlackBerry SIM-only subscribers gain a connectivity edge through the added call and text features.

In addition, to cap off its line-up of BlackBerry SIM-only plans, Sun Cellular offers the most complete service package of unlimited Sun-to-Sun call and text, unlimited BlackBerry Service and unlimited mobile internet for only P999 per month. With this package, subscribers are given the utmost convenience of having unlimited connections for both 2G and 3G-based services.

Interested subscribers may avail of any of these specialized services by presenting just their valid IDs at any of The Sun Shop branches nationwide.

Peña shared that these SIM-only plans are actually on top of Sun Cellular’s BlackBerry handset offerings. For only P600 per month, subscribers can avail of a new BlackBerry handset with services of either the Social Plan or the Data Plan profile.

When asked what subscribers can expect from Sun given the continuous rise of smartphones in the country, Pena answered, “We will continue to go beyond the experience of the unlimited by creating even more data connectivity services, all to be offered the Sun Cellular way, at best-value.”
