Iloilo City one of the country’s Top 3 Performing Highly-Urbanized Cities, ahead of Makati & Quezon City!

Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog announced today, August 19, that a report released by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) indicates that Iloilo City has made it to the country’s 10 top performing highly urbanized cities.

The 10 top performing highly urbanized cities in the DILG’s latest assessment are:

  1. San Juan City (4.9)
  2. Puerto Princesa City (4.88)
  3. Iloilo City (4.87)
  4. Valenzuela City (4.85)
  5. Makati City (4.819)
  6. Angeles City (4.816)
  7. Tacloban City (4.77)
  8. Quezon City (4.75)
  9. Taguig City (4.71)
  10. Davao City (4.7)

The cities were ranked based on their ratings under the DILG’s Local Governance Performance Management System (LGPMS), which scores a city’s financial accountability, economic governance and other key areas.

Mayor Jed said "the latest distinction is a team effort and thanked the various city departments shared his vision for Iloilo City and are helping him achieve it."

Last year, Iloilo City received the Seal of Good Housekeeping, based on its excellent LGPMS and was among the Gawad Pamana ng Lahi awardees among highly urbanized cities also last year.
