Windows 8 celebrates its 88th day, avail of discount offers until January 31, 2013 only!



With 60 million sold out licenses since its launch in October 2012, Windows 8 is still available under discount offers until January 31, 2013 to continue delight more consumers of the fast, fluid and no-compromise computing experience specifically designed to complement the lives of today’s consumers. Starting February 1, upgrade editions of Windows 8 and Windows 8 Pro will be offered for $119.99 (roughly Php8,900.00).

“Our goal at Microsoft is to constantly strive to provide Filipinos and users around the world with opportunities that help enhance their lives at enjoyable offers like the fast, fluid and no-compromise Windows 8,” shared Mae Rivera-Moreno, Windows Client Business Lead, Microsoft Philippines. “These offers include upgrading from a basic Windows 7 PC purchased before June 1, 2012, to a Windows 8 Pro for $14.99 or around Php645.00 only.”

The Windows 8 discount offers are valid until January 31, 2013:

  • Customers who purchased a Windows 7, Vista or XP PC before June 1, 2012 can upgrade to Windows 8 Pro for $14.99 (around Php645.00 only).
  • Customers who purchased a Windows 7 PC between June 2, 2012 to January 31, 2013 are entitled to upgrade for only $39.99 (around Php 1,700 only) by visiting www.windowsupgradeoffer.com.
  • Upgrade through the packaged DVD version which is available at major retail stores and malls for only $69.99 (around PHP3,500 only).

Celebrating its 88th day today after its launch, Windows 8 paved the wayfor anew generation of multi-touch devices to answer the needs of the modern day consumersas the line now between work and play has disappeared. These free local apps available for download at Windows Store include: ABS-CBN, for the latest news updates; Sulit.com.ph, for great buys; SM Cinema, for convenient entertainment; BPI, for convenient banking; Globe and Smart, for fast and easy account management; MERALCO, for easy access to your electricity information; Cebu Pacific, for fast and convenient travel purchase while on-the-go; Resorts World Manila, for hotel leisure; LBC for easy tracking of courier packages; and MyMakati, for an all-access pass to city events and information. Finally, MMDA app is also available fromWindows Store for up-to-date traffic information.

“The newly enhanced MMDA app provides real time traffic updates for a more convenient driving experience.
