ASUS Hosts Summer Case Modding Competition

ASUS is calling on all talented and budding Pinoy case-modders to step up and join the ASUS Summer Case Mod Contest. Top case modders will be able to showcase their works at the coming Pinoy Gaming Festival Summer Assembly 2013, to be held at the SM North Cyberzone. More details after the jump.

Cool prizes are in store, as well as recognition of being among the most skilled case modders in the country! Contest starts on April 1 and ends on April 26, 2013. Please refer to the contest mechanics for more details on how to participate, as well as the prizes up for grabs.

Mechanics

• The contest is open to all PC enthusiasts and modders who want to display their rigs and win prizes.
• Participants must be a fan of ASUS Philippines Facebook Page.
• Participants must present three to four beauty shots of their rigs with one main and thre are detail shots.
• Entries need not be new builds but must have an ASUS motherboard and an NVIDIA VGA. (Any brand of NVIDIA VGA is permitted but ASUS branded NVIDIA VGA get additional points during judging.)
• All entries must strictly be modded builds only. Custom themed and scratch built rigs will not be permitted to join the competition.
• Entries must be sent via email to alfred_bayle@asusph.com including their contact details and specs of the rig.
• Photos must be not larger than 1000px in width.
• Submission of entries will start from April 1 to 26, 2013. Presentation of top 10 finalists will be on April 30, 2013.
• The photos of the rigs entries will be placed in an album in ASUS Philippines, where supporters of the rig must ‘like’ their choice-rig for the contestant to garner additional points in judging.

Judging of rigs will be based on the following criteria:

• Creativity: 40%
• Aesthetics: 25%
• Popularity through Facebook likes: 20%
• ASUS Factor: 15%
• The top 10 finalists will be asked to display their rigs in the ASUS booth at PGF Summer Assembly on May 11 and 12, 2013.

Finalists will receive prizes from ASUS:

• Top 10: ROG Shirt each,
• Top 5: ROG Hoodie + Shirt
• 3rd Place: ROG Hoodie + ROG Shirt + P 1,500
• 2nd Place: ROG Hoodie + ROG Shirt + P3,000
• 1st Place: ROG Hoodie + ROG Shirt + P6,000 + Maximus V Gene
