Starmobile Icon: Specs, Price and Availability in the Philippines (Updated)

Starmobile has just announced that the Starmobile Icon, a 4.5-inch quad-core Android Jelly Bean smartphone will be available beginning today at selected stores and kiosks nationwide. First seen during the grand opening of Starmobile’s flagship store at SM North Edsa Annex last month, the aptly named Icon is a dual-SIM smartphone of superlatives, featuring a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 8-megapixel main camera, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) OS and 4.5-inch qHD IPS touchscreen.

In terms of imaging, the Icon’s camera makes use of backside illumination or BSI technology, allowing users to capture good images even in low light settings. The Icon’s display is layered with a tough glass panel called the “Dragontrail” which is six times more scratch-resistant than a typical glass panel.

The price of the Starmobile Icon is at Php7,990 (SRP) and comes with a free 4GB microSD card and jelly case.
