Smart unveils lowest ‘UnliData’ plan with free smartphone and tablet bundle

Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) recently announced the launch of the Smart Postpaid Unlimited Data Plan 999 – its lowest-priced mobile postpaid plan that comes with unlimited mobile Internet connection. The said plan is currently bundled with a free Lenovo IdeaTab A1000 and a Lenovo A390 smartphone. More details after the jump.

“With our new Unlimited Data Plan 999 bundled with a tablet and a smartphone, we are letting subscribers maximize and enjoy true unlimited data on a more reliable network,” said Kathy Carag, Smart’s Postpaid Business Head. “Whether they prefer mobile browsing and multimedia access through a 7-inch tablet screen or checking social networks and ‘instasharing’ via a more compact smartphone, they can get the best experience through Smart’s real 24/7 connectivity.”

Always Connected
Carag said that more and more subscribers are willing to try the “always connected” lifestyle, with the increasing popularity of affordable devices and the availability of flexible mobile data plans. The need to be always online is also driven by the rise in the use of mobile apps.

“A recent study revealed that among the top ten smartphone apps in the Philippines today are Facebook, YouTube and messaging applications like WeChat, Skype and the likes,” said Carag. “With the need for real-time engagement and notifications in social networking and chat or the volume of data needed in activities like video streaming, users are seeing the value of being always online without the worries of overspending. The Unlimited Data Plan 999 is perfect for those who want to enjoy the Internet in real-time, and live life without missing out on any online trends, breaking news and updates from friends and contacts.”

She also said the Lenovo combo is just the initial offering, and soon, more devices will be bundled with the Smart Postpaid Unlimited Data Plan 999.

Fully Customizable
The Smart Unlimited Data Plan 999 also comes with free 9 minutes of all net voice calls and 99 all net text messages per month. To avail of other mobile services, user can customize the plan through Smart Flexibundles - a variety of call, text and data offers that subscribers can mix and match to suit their lifestyle and mobile needs.

With more than 20 Flexibundles to choose from, subscribers can easily register through text, whether they need unlimited call minutes, unlimited texts, calls and texts to all networks, international call and texts, or a combination of everything they need.

  1. ang problem baba ng battery 1,300 mAh lang.. pero kung durability naman hanap mo better., rebranded phone na gamitin mo lalo na alcatel magic.. Pero marami pa kasi pwede pag pilian daming lumabas na bago like Cherry Mobile Flare 2.0 pati Cherry Mobile Flare 2x (CM Flare 2.0 and 2x both 4" display and runs on JB quadcore Qualcomm snap dragon processor at price of 4k-2.0 and 2x-4.5k) , DTC GT6x 4" display, and Myphone Agua Rain 3g 3.5" display (both runs on JB dual core processor at price DTC- 3,500php and myphone- 2,988php) all of them have 4gb internal memory at RAM of 512 to 1gb..
hirap po mag isip. lalo na kung may abot kaya ka na price pero hanap mo naman bigger screen hopefully may mag reviews and comments nang mga bagong labas na phone nato., and para maka pag decide di lang ako kundi lahat tayo., for such entry level like this., tnx

  7. Alcatel is a Branded phone indeed and not a rebranded...Alcatel Mobile Phone came from Alcatel-Lucent a French global telecommunications equipment company, a company that focuses on fixed, mobile, converged networking hardware, software, and services. In April 2004, TCL and Alcatel Lucent (Alcatel) joint venture on the creation of ""Alcatel Mobile Phones". meaning the Alcatel from the start is ""An Original Branded Phone Originally from France""
