  1. Seems now they are on a vigorous marketing campaign with such offers. Another I hear about in the UK is buy a Galaxy Note 3 and get a free Galaxy Gear! Now that's impressive! Even those who were fence sitters torn between purchasing a Note 3 or some other device don't have to think that had now, do they?
But how does the Gear rate? When you compare the Samsung Gear with the Sony SmartWatch, for instance, the Gear seems to be better in terms of weight, screen size and resolution, and oh yes-that capability to locate a misplaced phone is awesome! Calorie tracking isn't bad either, especially with those of us who are into weight loss and watching. But they'll need to carry the phone as well during the jog...
The Sony SmartWatch carries the day in terms of battery life, social media and
remote camera control. Bet it's a choice one has to make, just like with every
other device. An interesting review I read on Squidoo on the Gear for those interested: http://www.squidoo.com/samsung-galaxy-gear-price-and-specs-revolutionary-gear-or-just-another-timepiece
