Starmobile OCTA: Specs, Price and Availability
Starmobile recently launched the Starmobile Octa, a smartphone with wireless charging and Near Field Communication (NFC) capabilities. The Starmobile Octa sports a 5-inch Full HD capacitive display with 440ppi, a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor with Mali-450MP4 GPU, dual band Wi-Fi capabilities and 2,300mAh battery.
As the most advanced device ever created by the local brand, the Starmobile OCTA also features an Octa Core processor by MediaTek and 2GBs of memory (RAM) and 32GBs of internal storage (ROM) making it one of the fastest and most capacious phones available in the market.
For users who prefer to create their own content and the selfie-loving Filipinos, the Starmobile OCTA is equipped with an 8MP front camera with LED flash, and an 18MP Auto Focus rear camera with dual LED flash that could also capture FHD videos. Both front and rear cameras are also equipped with Back Side Illumination (BSI) sensors, ensuring clear and crisp photos even in low light conditions.
The device runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and supports Over-The-Air (OTA) software updates, a feature which allows users to update their phones to the latest version of Android via Wi-Fi and without the need for a PC. It also has Starmobile Sync which allows you to quickly transfer Contacts, Messages, Calendar, and other data from your old phone of any brand to the device via Bluetooth.
The Starmobile OCTA comes in two stunning colors (red and black) and will be available nationwide by the end of the March for only P16,990 (SRP) with a free 2-in-1 Wireless Charger and Bluetooth Speaker included in the package (valued at P2,490), users can charge their battery or play music without having to plug in cords or cables.
Also included in the box of the Starmobile Octa: Unit, Charger, Micro USB Cable, Screen Protector (attached to the unit), Quick Start Card, Headset, SIM Ejector Tool and Warranty Card.
