Globe Telecom, PH WordPress Community co-host WordPress Community Meet-up
Globe Telecom is partnering with the local WordPress Community to co-host the WordPress Community Meet-up in the country happening on June 9, 2014 in its headquarters in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.
To be attended by developers, bloggers, designers, and enthusiasts of WordPress, the world's most popular publishing platform on the web, the meet-up will be headlined by WordPress co-founder Matt Mullenweg as main speaker. Mullenweg is expected to share his valuable insights about web technology and the success behind the development of the open-source blogging platform.
"We are excited to welcome the local and international WordPress community to The Globe Tower for an insightful forum and discussion on the latest trends on web publishing. We at Globe are very keen on the way we use online and social media to better reach our customers. Mullenweg's Philippine visit is part of a 2-week tour in Asia that begins in Seoul on June 1, to be followed by Indonesia on June 2, Singapore on June 4, Japan on June 6-8, Australia on June 12-16, and New Zealand on June 17-18.
Matt Mullenweg is the co-founder of WordPress and the founder and CEO of Automattic, the company behind WordPress.com and Jetpack. Matt got his start in technology working at CNET Networks as a senior product manager. He went on to found Global Multimedia Protocols Group, an experimental metamemetics company, to develop open data formats. He has been recognized for his leadership and success by Forbes, BusinessWeek, INC., PC World and Vanity Fair.
