Sony rolls out Android 4.4.4 KitKat update for Xperia Z, ZL, ZR and Tablet Z!

— Sony Xperia News (@SonyMobileNews) September 9, 2014Sony recently announced on its Twitter that it is now rolling out Android 4.4.4 KitKat update for the Xperia Z, ZL, ZR and Tablet Z. According to the Tweet, the update brings bug fixes, battery, WiFi & email improvements and more.
Sony also included a changelog for the Xperia Z brought by the Android 4.4.4 KitKat software update (10.5.1.A.0.283):
- Upgrade to Android 4.4.4
- Better battery performance in some background applications
- Email stability & performance enhanced
- General improvements to MMS, Calendar, Wifi, Contacts & More
- All of our latest bug fixes and enhancements
Note: All Xperia Z users will get a notification when the upgrade is ready, but direct availability in the phone may vary across different markets and carriers. If not, you can check manually to see if the update is available for download.
