MSC 2022 Playoffs Day 1 ended with solid 2:1 matches

The first day of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup (MSC 2022) Playoffs saw every team's hunger to put up a good fight. No team has dominated with a clean sweep in the best-of-three series.

RSG PH sent Myanmar's Falcon Esports to the lower bracket. The Burmese squad was considered a darkhorse after closing the doors for MLBB powerhouse Onic Indonesia to enter the playoffs. Yesterday, they were humbled by the MPL-PH champions.

On June 17, RSG PH, the most-projected team to win the regional tournament, will face Malaysia bet Orange Esports who also managed to secure another thrilling 2:1 victory against RSG SG.

In a surprising turn of events, Smart Omega composed of the defending champions and formerly known as Execration, stumbled after a nerve-wracking match against Todak. The team shut down Patrick "E2MAX" James Caidic's Julian in Game 3 to win the series. With a score of 2:1, Todak proved that they are a force to not be underestimated.

Meanwhile, Indonesia's pride RRQ Hoshi entered the upper bracket despite the gruelling match, with EVOS SG who eventually fell on the lower bracket.
