TechLife Philippines has just launched the latest addition to its Smart Watch Series: the TechLife Smart Watch P1. This watch is part of their Cool Tech All Summer product lineup, which also includes the TechLife Pad Plus 12".
The TechLife Smart Watch P1 features an AMOLED display, a premium design, GPS tracking, Bluetooth calling support, and ChatGPT AI integration. Additionally, it offers water resistance with an IP68 rating, making it resistant to dust and water.
Now that we’ve wrapped up the review of the TechLife Pad Plus 12”, let’s dive into testing the Smart Watch P1. In this review, I’ll explore its features and capabilities to see if it would make the perfect companion for summer or back to school. Let’s begin with the unboxing process!
Unboxing the TechLife Smart Watch P1
The TechLife Smart Watch P1 comes in a white box. The front of the box displays the smart watch branding, while the model number, color, and customer care details are printed on the back.
On the sides of the box, you'll find six key features of the TechLife Smart Watch P1 highlighted.
Inside the Box and Accessories
Upon opening the box, you will find the TechLife Smart Watch P1 secured by a matte plastic covering.
Below the watch, you will also find a wireless charger cable and a user manual.
Design and Walk Around
The TechLife Smart Watch P1 features a design with a zinc alloy frame that combines brushed and polished metal finishes, resulting in a rugged yet premium appearance. Unlike its predecessor, which had a rectangular shape, the TechLife Smart Watch P1 adopts a circular design, enhancing its overall premium look.
This smartwatch is available in two colors: Green and Black; I own the Black version.
It boasts a vibrant 1.43-inch AMOLED display on the front. On the right side, you'll find a power button (or crown) and a dedicated fitness button located just below it.
On the back of the watch, there are metal charging pads and a light sensor for monitoring blood oxygen levels and heart rate. Additionally, the watch is equipped with a built-in microphone and speakers, allowing you to make and receive calls directly from your wrist.
The TechLife Smart Watch P1 comes with a 22mm removable silicone wrist strap. To change the band, simply slide the quick-release spring bar to remove the band or attach a new one.
In terms of durability, this watch has an IP68 and 5ATM rating, making it dustproof and water-resistant. It can withstand exposure to water activities and seawater, with a static water pressure capacity of up to 50 meters. However, it is not suitable for diving, hot showers, saunas, or any deep-water activities that involve strong water flow.
Additionally, the watch includes a Water Ejection mode. This feature allows you to remove any trapped water with just a few taps. The watch vibrates to help expel the water.
Display
The TechLife Smart Watch P1 features a 1.43-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels and a maximum brightness of 500 nits. It includes an Always-On Display (AOD) for quick and easy time checking.
The screen remains usable outdoors under direct sunlight, thanks to its peak brightness of 500 nits and five levels of brightness adjustment.
Additionally, the watch comes with four built-in watch faces and offers access to over 100 additional static and dynamic designs through the OnWear Pro app. You can also create custom watch faces using your own photos.
Pairing and OnWear Pro app
The TechLife Smart Watch P1 can be connected to the OnWear Pro app, enabling access to all features and allowing you to sync and view your complete health data directly on your phone. You can also adjust settings to match your preferences within the app.
To pair the TechLife Smart Watch P1, first, turn on Bluetooth on your mobile phone, and launch the "OnWear Pro" application. Click on "Connect Device." You can find your smartwatch by scanning its QR Code (located in the watch's settings under "Click the QR Code to scan") or by selecting "Search Device" and choosing “TLSWP1.” Once you see the check icon on the smartwatch screen, tap it to establish the connection. After a successful connection, you will receive a notification on your phone's app.
Once connected, the app will display whether the device is connected, its battery level, your health data, settings, smart notifications, and updates on the software.
The TechLife Smart Watch P1 can sync notifications from messages and apps, alerting you with customizable tones and vibrations. Additionally, it allows you to sync up to 100 frequent contacts from the OnWear Pro app, facilitating quick and convenient dialing directly from your watch. The watch features a call record function, logging recent calls received and displaying caller IDs for mobile calls. Its Bluetooth calling capability is compatible with both mobile calls and calls made through third-party applications such as Viber.
In addition to the built-in watch face, there is a watch face market and options for custom dials. The watch also features an AI Watch Face that allows you to generate unique illustrated watch faces based on prompts, which can be given via chat in the app or by voice through the watch. You can also change the art style of the generated faces to suit your preferences.
Furthermore, the watch supports ChatGPT, enabling you to directly ask questions and receive answers in text format. To do this, simply install the ChatGPT app from the App Market found within the OnWear Pro app, keep the app open on your phone, and start inquiring.
Performance
The TechLife Smart Watch P1 features TechLife’s proprietary smartwatch operating system and is compatible with both Android and iOS devices. While realme does not disclose specific details about the internal hardware, such as the processor and RAM, the watch responds quickly to taps and swipes, showing no noticeable lag during use.
Navigating the watch is straightforward. On the home screen, swipe down to access the control panel and swipe up to view your notifications. Swiping right displays widgets, while swiping left reveals your fitness data.
Additionally, you can press and hold the home screen for three seconds to enter the watch face selection menu.
Comprehensive Health and Fitness Monitoring
The TechLife Smart Watch P1 is equipped with various built-in health and fitness tracking features, making it easier for users to monitor their well-being. It includes a 24/7 heart rate monitor, blood oxygen measurement, stress level tracking, sleep monitoring, and female health tracking (menstrual period tracking).
Additionally, the watch supports over 110 sports modes to provide comprehensive tracking and assist users in effectively managing their health routines. The TechLife Smart Watch P1 also comes with built-in GPS functionality, which enhances location tracking capabilities. This GPS feature is compatible with outdoor workout modes such as cycling, running, and walking, allowing for the accurate recording of workout routes.
Battery and Wireless Charger
The realme Watch 3 is equipped with a 340mAh battery that can last up to 5 days under typical usage conditions. In standby mode, the battery can last for up to 30 days. However, battery life can differ based on how you use the watch; features such as Always-On Display (AOD), Bluetooth calls, fitness reminders, and maximum brightness can drain the battery more quickly.
When it’s time to recharge, the wireless charging design makes it convenient. Simply attach the wireless charging cable to the bottom of the smartwatch. It takes approximately 2.5 hours to fully charge the watch.
