Starmobile unveils its next-generation smartphones and tablets! Specs and Prices



Premium local brand Starmobile makes a game-defining play with the much-anticipated unveiling of its latest phone and tablet line-up new devices carrying the trademark Starmobile build design and quality in its drive to lead innovation in the local mobile landscape. More details after the jump.

The launch also coincides with the grand opening of Starmobile’s flagship store in Metro Manila. Located at the 4th Level of SM North Edsa Annex, the concept store serves as Starmobile’s main hub for experiential retail and customer support in the area.

Starmobile Engage 7 - Php4,390
The new Engage 7 from Starmobile ranks as a top value Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) tablet at Php4,390 with streaming TV and the best dual camera combo (3-megapixel back and VGA front camera) in the entry-level category. In addition to Wi-Fi, the Engage 7 has a USB connector that supports 3.5G USB dongles.

The tablet also integrates a 1GHz processor, coupled with 512MB RAM, and 4GB onboard storage that is 32GB expandable through microSD.

Starmobile Engage 7TV - Php5,290
Starmobile introduces another first-to-market innovation with the Engage 7TV’s ALL TV access. A proprietary Starmobile feature first seen on the Engage 7TV, ALL TV allows users to watch television programs from three sources: analog, digital or streaming via WIFI.

The Analog TV feature provides users access to their favorite shows on free-to-air channels using the built-in antenna for optimal signal reception. The future-proof Engage 7TV also boasts off specs ahead of its time as it comes with ISDB-T Digital TV for clearer broadcasts of available local channels. On top of the analog and digital TV options, Streaming TV shows via Wi-Fi is also possible on the tablet. Starmobile Engage 7 3G - Php7,490
Starmobile also introduces Engage 7 3G, the company’s first Android Ice Cream Sandwich tablet with 3G capabilities for voice and video calls, SMS and data services for only Php7,490. Designed for travel and mobility, the Engage 7 3G supports four different GSM frequency bands, making it convenient for use anywhere in the world where GSM service is available.

Starmobile also redefines form with the Engage 8, the first of its screen size (XGA screen with a 4:3 aspect ratio) in the local market built with Asahi Glass for maximum scratch resistance. Starmobile Icon - Php7,990
The aptly named Icon is a dual-SIM smartphone of superlatives, featuring a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 8-megapixel main camera, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) OS, and 4.5-inch touchscreen. In terms of imaging, the Icon’s camera makes use of backside illumination or BSI technology, allowing users to capture good images even in low light settings.
